The Kings Park Tree Top Walk

The Kings Park Board inform us that the Tree Top Walk is all about the trees.  A shame really, considering they block some excellent views of the Swan River.

The elevated section of the walkway weaves through a spectacular canopy of tall eucalyptus trees.   You'll be able to get up close and personal, with Karri, Marri, Tingle and Jarrah Trees.  Develop a new perspective on trees - take your photos looking down on them.

If Tarzan was an Aussie, this would be his preferred means of tree top travel.

The tree top walk is an impressive 222 metres long.  The highlight is the 52 metre steel and glass arched bridge,  which offers a slight buzz for trainee thrill seekers.  For safety reasons, bridal photography is not permitted on the walkway.  We're not sure why, but a polite "no" is all that is required, if one asks you to take her photo.

Bridal photography is not permitted, so always check the view finder for any unauthorised bridal activity.

If trees are not your thing, the walkway offers some panoramic views of the Swan River.  With some tricky camera angles, it is still possible to take a photo with a low tree count.  This photo of Perth Water, is a classic example.

Don't be alarmed by the rusting appearance of the super structure.  It was designed to blend in with the trees.  You are welcome to organise an independent engineers report at your own expense.

So if you feel like some Tarzan type activity in the tree tops, without the dangerous swinging action, why not take a stroll along the Tree Top Walk in Kings Park.
